New Dentist, New Hygienist, New Office - NO PROBLEM!

Updated: Aug 20

The first appointment at a new dental office can be one that is filled with excitement and intrigue but mostly wrought with anxiety. It is human nature to be anxious about the unknown. Our team is dedicated to creating a comfortable and friendly environment from the minute you step foot in the office to the moment you leave.  Sometimes de-mystifying what will happen can minimize that anxiety.

Firstly, you will be greeted by our amazing front desk team. They will take your info and new patient paperwork if you have already filled it out.  If you haven't , they will allow you time to do so.

Next, you will be taken into one of our hygiene rooms and will get to know your hygienist while they take new radiographs (if updated ones are not available), measurements

of your gums, conduct an oral cancer screen, and then ultimately clean your teeth (or reappoint for periodontal services if necessary).  Our hygienists use ultrasonic cleaners that minimize the "scraping" that they must do. These ultrasonic scalers also decrease the amount of time you will be in your cleaning and allow hygienists to remove more stain than ever.

Then, the dentist will come in and take all the data collected by the hygienist and perform a comprehensive oral evaluation that will make it clear to you what (if any) work needs to be completed to get your mouth into tip top shape.  At this point, there will be an open discussion and you have plenty of time to ask any questions you may have.

Finally, you will be checked out by the front desk again and your next appointments will be reserved for you.
