Put your (laser) Energy HERE!

LASERS in dentistry are a technology that can help patients in many different scenarios. One of the most rewarding uses is in the treatment of tight oral tissues. Yes, I am talking about TONGUE TIES!

These tight oral tissues can have a myriad of symptoms including but not limited to, difficulty nursing, speech issues, inability to eat certain foods, mouth breathing, snoring and the cascade of symptoms that result from these maladaptations.

At our office we have a high powered CO2 laser that is QUICK, efficient and painless. To treat a patient with both tongue and lip ties would take less than 35 seconds! CO2 lasers work in a way that precision vaporizes the unwanted soft tissue and promotes healing with virtually no damage to the surrounding tissue. Older style "diode" lasers worked by "burning" tissue with heat. Diode lasers were not painless and created what we call "lateral thermal damage" that affected the rate and type of healing.

Dr. Fallon has been working with infants as young as 2 days old up to adults to help free up tethered oral tissues. In her almost 5 years experience with this procedure she has seen benefits that are nothing short of astounding.

The laser has many applications so don't worry if Dr.Fallon wants to use it for another reason. She will talk you through it and you will be amazed at how using the laser can help her be more efficient with your dental treatment.
